Pepperio 4.4

Released: 13/02/2007

New Features

RSS Feeds
The sharing of ideas and content via RSS has always been a standard feature in Pepperio, where pages can be displayed in the RSS XML format. Pepperio 4.4 expands this to allow business users to select RSS feeds to display on their own site, in their own branding.

Favicons
Pepperio website developers can set a favicon file for a website by using the CSS editor in the Template Developer.

Google Site Map File
To help them find and index your website, Google have developed a standard site map format that assists its search algorithm to index your site with greater ease. Pepperio 4.4 automatically generates these site maps dynamically as you make changes to your site.

Recycle Bin
Pages and Assets which you delete are passed to the Recycle bin, from where they can be restored or deleted completely.

Taxonomy
Understanding your pages, describing their contents through metadata, such as keywords, has always been a core part of Pepperio. Taxonomy expands on this concept, in that it is a hierarchical structure of terms that relate to one another and give the page some context. So for example tagging your item as being about “Cheese” could also indicate that it’s a “Dairy Product”.

In Pepperio 4.4 we have implemented a Taxonomy Browser, previously only available in Enterprise Web Content Management products, which easily allows content authors to simply upload and browse one of these Taxonomy structures and add these terms to their pages.

Improvements:

  • Page Authors can now be noted in the Page properties. This is appears as Meta data in the head of rendered pages.
