Pepperio 4.5

Released: 03/07/2007

New Features

Shortcuts
We have now implemented the ability for end-users to assign pages as shortcuts to other pages within the site. The use of a shortcut displays the destination page's url in the browser.

Ghost Pages

The difference between a shortcut and a ghost page is that whereas a shortcut pushes the user to a destination page, a ghost page pulls the content of the destination page into the ghost page (it does not redirect). A ghost page will always show it's url in the browser, not that of the destination page.

'Dynamic' Manual Lists

The option is now provided when writing a LIST tag to specify '_user' as a src of a list. This enables the end user to choose which page a list of links is sourced from. This method will maintain a dynamic list of links dependent upon which pages are currently children of the source page.

Page Change Notification

Editors can now inform other users via email of content changes across the site. This feature is accessed via the icon set above the right-hand pane (in page mode).

Improvements:

  • All changed snippets are now published when a page or template is published (even those snippets not referenced by the published template).
  • Template shelf now opens in Template Developer mode.
  • Form data saved to the server can now be accessed via a url, which is retrieved from the backoffice handler of the form in the assets library.
  • Improved detection and handling of malformed URLs.
  • End-users can now added additional meta data sets to their pages via the properties screen.
  • Pages in the Site Structure that have ‘children’ page/s now display a page icon, not a folder icon.
  • People in the people shelf can now be assigned to multiple groups.
  • Allow configuraton of "from" email address for form responses, applied through the backoffice handler of the form in the assets library
